Jane Nicholls launched Sweet Revolution after experimenting in the kitchen to create nutritious treats for her two teenage children. She launched her company with a range of raw chocolate products in October 2009.
Jane has had a life-long interest in healthy eating, which was further fuelled when her son Alex had a dairy intolerance as a baby. She began researching natural ways to treat the condition and became fascinated with the subject. This led her to study naturopathic nutrition with the Natural Healing Foundation at Salford University. During her studies she was introduced to many different and unusual foods. She began experimenting in the kitchen to satisfy her family's passion for sweets and puddings, without sacrificing her commitment to good nutrition.
The raw chocolate bars that she produced were so favoured by family and friends that she was encouraged to launch them into the market, which she did through two local health foods shops.
Since then the business has slowly grown and diversified into organic instant drinks. Currently the range consists of four drinks - a hot chocolate using raw cacao, and a turmeric latte, matcha latte and reishi chai latte. The range has been a huge success, tapping into the trend for organic, vegan and free from alternatives. With her love of creating delicious recipes, Jane is always looking at new and innovative ideas to take delicious hot drinks to the next level!
